STR450: Learning the Stratasys Fortus 450MC

Stratasys Fortus 450MC

Industrial FDM 3D printer

3D printing has changed the way that the manufacturing industry creates things. Industrial 3D printers can create objects in materials such as carbon fiber, concrete, or medical-grade materials for applications in construction, engineering, and medicine. Printers such as the Stratasys Fortus 450MC have become common sights in aerospace and automotive labs.

The Fortus 450MC is an industrial FDM printer that specializes in strong materials such as carbon fiber nylon and Ultem. This printer is common across different industries for its reliability and part durability. We've used our Fortus to create prosthetic arms and impeller blades - parts that need to be strong above all else. Much like its sibling printer, the F370, the Fortus can speak directly with CAD softwares such as SolidWorks to print models with ease.
